Building Owners Must Post Building Energy Efficiency Rating Labels By October 30, 2020
On September 8th the NYC Department of Buildings reminded that “building owners…are required to post Building Energy Efficiency Rating Labels no later than October 30, 2020, and October 30 of each year after 2020. Based on Local Law 33 of 2018, as amended by Local Law 95 of 2019, owners of buildings over 25,000 sq. ft. – or multiple buildings on a lot totaling 100,000 sq. ft. or more – that appear on the NYC Benchmarking Covered Building List, must post a Building Energy Efficiency Rating Label in a conspicuous location near each public entrance to their buildings”.
